We make our Zip Sustainable Charcoal using ethically sourced crops such as coconut shell and bamboo.

Both crops have a very fast regeneration cycle; bamboo can grow up to 2 inches an hour, and mature within 5 years, meaning the harvest cycle is much shorter than that of trees.

Coconut trees produce over 100 coconuts a year and once all the water and flesh is removed by food and drink manufacturers, the left over shells are used to make eco-friendly wood alternatives, such as long burning charcoal. This means no trees are felled and no protected forests destroyed.
