You can certainly taste the caramel, but in a way that is not synthetic or overwhelming. it really does make such a difference to your morning coffee.

Having learnt the trick of frothing milk in my cafetiere i managed to froth this up for my coffee and it was really nice. i also tried it poured in as normal milk and it was equally as good. but i've heard today that arla are being suspected of adding unsavoury ingredients to their products so will be forced to stop shopping with them until the matter is resolved
